As the founder of Da’ Arts In Motion Non Profit Community Theatre Group. I am delighted to speak gracefully about my artistic journey through developing, this theatre Group. Theatre arts holds a deeply personal place in my life. As the daughter of a gifted actress, my mother, whose influence is woven throughout my story, growing up immersed in the world of live performance. Watching her on stage, witnessing the discipline, vulnerability, and power of storytelling, sparked my love for theatre at an early age and inspired me to pursue my own creative path, by becoming a storyteller myself.
After participating in a few movies filmed in Canada my desire for the Arts became more meaningful and In 2019, I wrote and produced my first manuscript" Imperfect Love", which hit the stage in 2022 , and 2023. Writing and Honoring and sustaining my mother’s artistic legacy has become one of my most meaningful aspirations. In 2022, I launched this project alongside a collaborative team of experienced professionals, including administrators, actors, stage directors, sound and lighting technicians, a marketing consultant, and passionate volunteers.
In 2022, we premiered our first stage play at the Meridian Arts Centre to an enthusiastic and supportive audience. The success of this production reignited our momentum and reaffirmed the importance of this work. In 2023, we continued to grow, presenting a production at the Vaughan City Playhouse Theatre and performing at the York Theatre during the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival—an honor that marked a significant milestone in our journey.
